Sundance, Wyoming Trade Scholarship

A Scholarship Built for Trades

The George E. & Betty J. White Foundation has long been dedicated to strengthening communities, and now they’re expanding their impact with a new scholarship program to building strong communities through skilled trades.  This scholarship awards $1,500 to graduating seniors from Crook County School District #1 who are dedicated to advancing their education in hands-on, specialized training environments.

The Foundation prioritizes individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to becoming valued community members.

From welding and electrical work to automotive technology and heavy equipment operation, skilled trades are essential to the success of local economies. With a growing demand for professionals in these hands-on industries, this scholarship offers students a chance to kickstart their careers without the burden of heavy student debt. Whether it's becoming a certified diesel mechanic, a licensed HVAC technician, or a skilled carpenter, this funding helps make those goals a reality.

How to Apply

Applying is simple—students will submit an application, provide a couple of references, and share a short video introducing themselves and their career aspirations. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2025, and the Foundation is eager to support hardworking, dedicated students ready to make an impact.

If you or someone you know is passionate about a future in the skilled trades, don’t miss this opportunity. Learn more and apply today
